What is KidzRock?
Every Sunday, KidzRock connects kids to Jesus by being a fun place, a safe place and a learning place. KidzRock welcomes children (babies through 5th grade) to experience God and His love for them through age-appropriate programming. We would love to see you and your family this Sunday at NorthRock’s KidzRock program.
Your First Visit
Look for the KidzRock entrance on the east side of the building. We will meet your family, ask you to complete a basic information card, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.
We will ask for the following personal information: family members’ names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child.
How Check-In Works
You may check in your child at any available station. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag. After the service, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
In the event that we need to contact you during the service, your child’s identification code will appear on the screen in the auditorium or you may be texted so keep your phone handy. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and come to your child’s classroom.
The Ride Home
On your way home, be sure to ask your child questions like, “Did you have fun?” and “What did you learn today?” It’s our goal that every child has a positive answer to these two questions, every week!
What We Value
Our environments and lesson materials are created in a way your child will understand. Before leaving KidzRock for Aftermath, we want our children to know that:
•God loves them
•God made them
•Jesus is God’s Son
•Jesus came to rescue them
•The Bible is God’s true word
Every child’s name tag is matched to a parent-identification number, every volunteer is screened with an interview and federal background check, and each service has personnel to help handle needs of the morning. All volunteers are trained on safety procedures.
Kids love fun! We realize that when children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus, including games, activities, singing, and great stories from the Bible.
In KidzRock, we believe that each child is made in God’s image and dearly-loved by the Creator. If your child needs special attention or care, please contact the KidzRock Pastor prior to visiting. Our intake coordinator will conduct a phone interview to assess your child’s needs. Based upon this interview, the needs of your child and the availability of a buddy, we will assign a buddy to your child. Please wait to bring your special needs child until a buddy is matched and placed with your child.
The purpose of the buddy is to work one-on-one with your child to ensure safety for your child. The job of the buddy is to focus solely on your child.Contact KidzRock
Child dedication is a time for parents to symbolically give their children back to the Lord. It is a joint expression of a parent’s commitment to raising godly children and our commitment as a church to empower parents in that calling. We are inviting families with children to participate in the dedication on Saturday, April 29 at 10:30am in the sanctuary.Sign Up
